AcqWeb's Transformation
AcqWeb's Transformation

I am in the process of re-designing and re-populating AcqWeb to bring everything up to date. This is being done in an open-source content management system called Drupal.
There are lots and lots of customizable options available in Drupal, so help me refine the site, tweak things to perfection, and add content that is up-to-date and engaging!
Try things out. Let me know what you like and what you don't. Tell me what you think about the look and feel of this site. In short, help me make it the best that it can be!!
Thanks all, Ginny B.
AcqWeb's Transformation
Tue, 12/01/2009 - 13:17 — chattermReally like the design, very clean and uncluttered.
And I think the concept of having forums is great. I've been looking for blogs by Acquisition librarians, and apparently we're to busy, or too circumspect, to blog. What I do is a bit different from both Academic and Public libraries, so I've been waiting to hear from them, and haven't heard a peep (or tweet!) Well, that should be read, but it means the same thing.
Affiliation
Wed, 08/26/2009 - 14:06 — Maggie McNairI am wondering if there is a way to identify a member's affiliation? Would anyone else find that useful?
Member Affiliation
Thu, 08/27/2009 - 15:19 — Ginny BoyerHi Maggie,
Concerning you question above we have added an affiliation field to the form for registering new users, however we have made the entry of such information optional. This was done because not all users of AcqWeb are affiliated with a university or professional entity, therefore we thought it would be unnecessary to make it a required field for registration.
Thanks for your input on the matter! It really helps us to know what people would find helpful and how we can make the site a better space for users.
Regards,

The new AcqWeb - watch us grow!
Thu, 08/13/2009 - 14:34 — EI CookThis site is slowly taking form and I am pleased at the progress Ginny Boyer is making on the design. We still have a ways to go, but it's finally happening!
Looking forward to having some discussions on these forums with the idea of eventually weaning ACQNET-L discussion away so that the listserve can simply serve as a bulletin board for announcements and the substantive questions can come here.
I think people are ready for this!
